Tasks and runs

Everything in Axe happens inside a Task. A Task is a workspace for one piece of work: the conversation, the files you attach, the documents Axe produces and every result, kept together so you can return to it later.

Starting a Task

Open Assistant in the bar at the top, or choose New task to start a fresh one. Describe what you need in the message box: the question, the scope and the form you want the answer in.

Attach the sources that matter with the + button, or drop them onto the page. Filings, models, prior reports and data exports all work. Axe reads what you attach and searches the web when the request needs it.

A Task keeps its context. A follow-up request in the same Task can build on earlier results and files without you restating them.

What a run is

Each request you send starts a run. A run is one attempt at one outcome: it plans the work, gathers evidence, drafts and checks, then delivers a result.

While a run works, its activity appears under your message as it happens, and you can stop it at any time. When an Agent run needs something from you, such as a missing input or your review, it pauses and asks rather than guessing.

Results

A run finishes with a result you can read, copy and continue from. Files it produces, such as a Word document or a spreadsheet, appear in the Task, ready to download.
